Thoughts, Feelings, Emotions...

Upon working through the course I have gained the understanding of what goes into the websites we use every day to make it visually appealing and what draws your eyes to them.  I feel that I am now able to locate and identify flaws or successes in the digital world around us. I understand the collaboration that goes into fully being able to create an accessible website that is attractive, useful and easy on the eyes.

I found myself working through different assignments and applying the skills gained in my daily works for my own job. I have been able to create an infographic, a video that was used in a monthly assembly and helping another staff editing our parent communication blog to help find balance and contrast for a better attraction for the parents.

👀 🤔

I am very happy with how this class offered new ideas and concepts that I am able to take and use.
I hope that this blog has given an insight of the tasks that are assigned during this course and are thought provoking to all who see it.

Thanks for reading!

Team Design

Working with my peers we created a website that would be used in a Kindergarten classroom as part of the parent communication. Miss Johnston was very excited to see what we had created. We created a website that was simple and balanced but allowed for lots of interaction with parents and Miss Johnston.
The home page gives parents a nice and simple look into what the classroom looks like. Using the balance of the tabs across the top make it easy to navigate the site.

The tabs open up daily schedules, links to communication tools for parents, along with resources for curriculum connections. The colours are simple and make connections to the curriculum document and the font is easy to read.
